The Weald of Kent Rotary Club annual sponsored walk, the North Downs Walk 2025, in aid of Cancer Research UK will take place on Sunday 8th June. Registrations are now open, so please visit our website at www.wealdofkentrotary.org.uk/north-downs-walk/ and sign up.
We are really proud that this will be the 40th Walk (every year since 1985, except 2020) and will be taking place in Weald Rotary's 50th anniversary year. Please help us to make it the biggest and best yet.
The 2025 Walk will be the familiar format, with a choice of (approximately) 1, 3, 6 and 9-mile circular routes starting and finishing at Harrietsham Village Hall. The routes are fully marshalled, with regular checkpoints (including toilets halfway round the longer routes) and stunning North Downs scenery. Well-behaved dogs are very welcome (water bowls at all the checkpoints) so give your furry friends an extended walkies.
When you get back to the hall, enjoy a ploughman’s lunch, strawberries and cream and live music.
This is an ideal opportunity to raise money for your own charity, community group or other good cause. Half of the money raised in sponsorship will automatically go to Cancer Research UK; the other half will go to your own choice of good cause (which may also be CRUK if you wish). Once again, our event sponsor, Family Funeral Service, has covered all expenses so every penny you raise will go to the charities.
The North Downs Walk is the highlight of Weald Rotary’s year; make it a highlight of yours as well. I look forward to seeing you in June.
